I had a comfortable stay at Thompson Playa Del Carmen Beach House, though a few things dampened my experience. The location was fantastic, allowing easy access to the beach and nearby attractions. Unfortunately, I faced a disappointing view from my junior suite, blocked entirely by a tree. Despite some noise from 5th Ave at night, which I managed with a white noise app, the staff and breakfast offerings were enjoyable overall.
